Gender Based Violence Is More Painful Emotionally-Mrs Kwabe

It has been observed that gender based violence is more painful emotionally then physically.

The Chairperson, National Council of Women Societies in Adamawa Mama Rebecca Kwabbe stated this at an event as part of the sixteen days activism against Gender based violence.

The event which was organized by the Nigeria Association of Woman Journalists NAWOJ, held at General Murtala Mohamed College GMMC Yola is aimed at achieving a zero gender based violence in the Society.

Mama Kwabbe said violence in whatever form is ungodly and cautioned people against restarting to violence in the face of any challenge.

In Her opening remarks the Chairperson, NAWOJ, in the state Mrs Rose Anthony Elishama explained why the Association choose to kick-start the campaign with a Boys only School adding that it is to start with the young ones as discipline starts at early age.

Mrs Elishama added that Boys are Prospective Father’s observed that gender based violence does not concern girls only but also Boys.

She advised the Students to resist the temptation to restart to Violence, and other anti-social activities.

Contributing’s, the Chairperson, Federation of Muslim Women Association, FOMWAN Khadiza Buba, reminded the Students they are lucky for NAWOJ to have choosen their school to start the campaign and urged them make use of the counselling.

In a closing massage, the Principal of GMMC Yola, Alhaji Mohammed Musa represented by Samira Bello, appreciated NAWOJ and Urged the Students to be law-abiding and Obidient to their Parents.
