Adamawa state Jail Delivery Committee has discharged two hundred and twenty-three inmates at Yolde-Pate New Medium Custodial Centre Yola.

The Committee headed by the state Chief Judge, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahaman also granted bail of fifty-two other inmates and convicted two to five years imprisonment each.

Among the discharged inmates are one hundred and sixty-three awaiting trial and twenty-six serving various jail term.

Similarly, the committee reviewed seven cases bothering on criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, criminal breach of trust, fornication among others.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahaman charged them to be of good behaviour as they return to reunite with their families and the society.

The Chief Judge explained that anyone of them caught committing similar offences would face the full wrath of the law.

In a remark, State Controller of the Correctional Centre, Ahmed Usman appreciated the Jail Delivery Committee and congratulated the beneficiaries.
