Former senatorial candidate distributes water Pump machines to dry season farmers

Some communities in Ribadu ward of Fufore local government have benefitted from provision of water pumps donated by a former senatorial candidate for Adamawa Central on the platform of People’s Democratic Party PDP, Alhaji Chubado Murtala Modibbo to boost dry season farming in the area.

At the presentation, the items to the beneficiaries, the PDP chieftain said the gesture was to empower dry season farmers in the Communities to enhance their farming activities for increased food production.

He pledged to empower women in the area for them to be self reliant.

Alhaji Chubado Murtala admonished the beneficiaries to use the items to increase their farming activities as well as assist others.

The party chieftain who lauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for executing numerous developmental projects in the state within a short time, appealed to Adamawa people to rally round the present administration for more dividends of democracy.

Earlier in his remark, the chairman of the People’s Democratic party PDP in Fufore local government, Abdulmumuni Pawa had saluted Alhaji Chubado for the gesture and assured him of support to enable him realize his political ambitions.

A former Speaker of the Adamawa state House of Assembly, Abdullahi Bakari Wambai described Alhaji Chubado Murtala as a principled Politician with the interest of the people at heart.

He said the intervention demonstrated Alhaji Chubado’s commitment to improving the living standard of the People even though he is not in government.

Some of the beneficiaries in an interviewed thanked, Alhaji Chubado Murtala for the assistance and promised to use the items judiciously.

Three persons each from Dulo, Ribadu, Riko, Dasin and Fufore communities benefitted from the gesture in Ribadu Ward of Fufore local government.
