Federal Government Flags Off Distribution Of Grains To Vulnerable, Less Privilege Persons In Adamawa

The Federal Government has flagged off the distribution of Grains to Vulnerable and less privilege person in Adamawa.

The grains consist of three thousand six hundred bags of Maize, one thousand eight hundred bags of Soghum, and one thousand two hundred bags of millet and Gari each.

Presenting the items in YOLA, federal Capital Territory FCT Minister Muhammad Bello said the gesture is to assist vulnerable communities in the state before the harvest of their crops.

The Minister said the distribution of the grains followed Directive by the President Muhammadu Buhari and called for judicious use of the items.

Alhaji Bello who reiterated the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari towards ensuring food sufficiency in the country noted that such gesture will go along way in providing temporary relief to the vulnerable.

Receiving the items, the All Progressive Congress APC Senatorial Candidate for Adamawa central Senatorial district, Senator Abdulaziz Murtala Nyako appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for the gesture describing it as timely.

He assured that the grains reach target beneficiaries.

Earlier, the Adamawa State Deputy chairman of All Progressives Congress APC, Mr Samaila Thadawus expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for the assistance and thanked Minister of FCT Muhammad Bello for delivering the items.
