Adamawa State Government Donates Toilet kits To Vunoklang Community

As part of activities marking the twenty-twenty two world Toilet day with the theme, “Making the invisible visible, “the Small Town Water Supply Project WASH Adamawa state has donated toilet kits and water storage to students and teachers as well as sensitized residents of Vunoklang in Girei local government on safe water and sanitation as it affects underground water.

The event which was organized by the United States Agency for International Development USAID and Mercy Corps and other partners in collaboration with the Adamawa state Government was held at Government Day School and the vehicle terminal at Vulnoklang with a call on private sector partners and Non-Governmental Organizations to pool resources and make toilet facilities available to Adamawa State people.

In a remark, the Commissioner of Water Resources represented by the  permanent secretary in the ministry, Engineer Micheal Medugu said government under the Small-Town Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene WASH Activity is facilitating the economic recovery in crisis-affected through provision of water and hygiene facilities.

He said the state government has provided new motorized boreholes and upgraded existing ones as well constructed toilets blocks with hand washing facilities.

Highlight of the event was drama presentation by students on the importance of the world Toilet Day.
