The Fintiri led administration has been applauded for supporting the implementation of Nigerian Covid-nineteen Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus, NG-CARES in the state.

The General Manager, Adamawa State Community and Social Development Agency, Professor Anthony Dami gave the commendation while addressing stakeholders in Mubi North, Gombi, Ganye and Toungo.

Information Officer of the Agency, Mrs Rahila Nathan quoted the General Manger as saying that the programme is to expand access to livelihood support and food security services and grants for poor and vulnerable households and firms.

He explained that the services will be in the health, Education, water and sanitation, agricultural value chain, as well as micro and small enterprises affected by the economic crises.

The General Manager added that the programme is an emergency operation designed to support expenditures and interventions at state level.

He explained that under the programme, Community will contribute two percent, while Vulnerable Group will contribute one percent to start the process of the implementation of the project to be anchored by the Community Driven Development, CDD.

Professor Dami advised benefitting Groups to unite and work as a team for the success of the projects in their various local governments.

Stakeholders in their separate remarks thanked Adamawa state government for ensuring the implementation of the project and pledged to ensure its success.

The first phase of the programme was implemented in four Local governments, which include Madagali, Michika, Hong and Numan.
