Adamawa State Polytechnic Matriculates undergraduate students

Adamawa State Polytechnic Yola in affiliation with University of Maiduguri has Matriculated one hundred and thirty three undergraduate students for the twenty-twenty one to twenty-twenty two academic sessions.

The Maiden Matriculation Ceremony which held at Glass Hall of the Polytechnic in Yola, has seven different programmes of academic pursuit.

Delivering his speech, the Vice Chancellor University of Maiduguri, Professor Aliyu Shugaba represented by Professor Saidu Baba reiterated the commitment of the institution towards delivering high Quality University Education to the teeming population.

Professor Shugaba who described University of Maiduguri as one of the Most Populated Universities in Nigeria, urged the matriculating students to re-dedicate themselves to learning to enable them be good product of the institution.

He noted that the institution will not condone any social Vices assuring that the university will continue to impart sound knowledge to its students.

In a welcome address, the Rector of the Adamawa State Polytechnic Yola, Professor Dahiru Muhammad Toungos congratulated the matriculating students and charged them to concentrate on their studies as well as avoid vices capable of distorting their image and that of the institution.

Professor Toungos who announced that out of the one hundred and thirty three students Matriculated, one hundred and twenty four were fully registered and assured them of Maximum security on the Campus.

Responding one of the Matriculants, Miss Sihiyona Ampeni pledged that they will by abide by the rules and regulations of the institution.

There were goodwill messages from the Chairman Governing Board of the Adamawa state Polytechnic Yola Professor Joshua David Shall, Professor B.B Jakusko from the University of Maiduguri and representative of the State Commissioner of Tertiary and Professional Education Dishe Kwabe, Mr Bello Bahura.
