The People’s Democratic Party, PDP Presidential Women Campaign Council has enjoined women in Adamawa to intensify the mobilization of support for candidates on the platform of the party.

State Coordinator of the Council, Mrs. Justina Nkom, who is also the Commissioner of Trade and Investment, made the call during a meeting with thirty women support groups held at Atiku Abubakar Support Group Office, Jimeta.

She called on women in the state to mobilize support for the candidature of Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate to enable him to bring development to the state and Nigeria as a whole.

Mrs. Nkom said as a member of the PDP Presidential Women Campaign Council, the meeting was necessary for her to educate women and strategies towards home support and the success of the PDP Presidential candidate as well as other candidates at other levels.

She stressed that Governor Fintiri deserved a second term considering the numerous developmental projects executed and the ongoing in the state and urged the women support groups to go house to house to mobilize other women.

In her remark, Mrs. Suzan Mark Zira, state Women Leader of the PDP described Atiku Abubakar as the son of the soil hence the need to mobilize support for him.

She enumerated some priority areas of Atiku Abubakar including education; the economy, among others, and reiterated that unemployment would be a thing of the past if elected.

Contributing Doctor Zainab Kwonci, Director General of Atiku Fintiri Campaign Council of the Party, described Atiku Abubakar as the highest employer of labour in the state, pointing out that people of the state will benefit more if Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is reelected.

She noted that to ensure stability and sustained development of the state, other candidates on the platform of the PDP should be elected.

Also speaking, PDP stakeholders Mary Paninga and Hannatu Kadala, enumerated the contributions of Atiku Abubakar in the development and security of the state, adding that women have been identified to have a great role to play in ensuring the success of the PDP in the general elections.
