Global Peace Development Trains 50 Youths In Adamawa On Peace

A nongovernmental organization, Global peace development has trained fifty youths in Adamawa on peaceful and non-violence in twenty twenty three general elections.

The one day pioneer members of youth leaders connect platform training is being organized by global peace development funded by British council held at Fombina Ambassadors suits barracks road Jimeta.

In his welcome address, the Executive director of Global peace development, Mr Ebrueke Esike said the training is aimed at preparing Nigerian youths by changing the narratives of election from violence to Peaceful one.

Mr Esike stated that their target is to ensure youths are used as tools for transformation and not for political thuggery.

He explained that the training is a pilot project of British council supporting Nigerian youths to give them strong voice visibility in democracy and governance process.

Mr Esike added that the training is also geared towards improving the performance of youths in the area of integrity, free from violence, and hate speech.

Mr Emmanuel Bwala a consultant said the training is aimed at developing skills of youths, knowledge as well as encourage them to participate actively in non-violence election this year.

He charged them to always be vanguard of peace during and after the general elections.
