PDP flags Off Bye-Election Councillorship Campaign

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has called on people of Lamurde, Guyuk and Shelleng to rally round the ruling People’s Democratic party PDP, to ensure its victory in three wards in the forth coming councillorship bye-election in the local government areas.
The Governor made the appeal through the his Deputy, Chief Crowther Seth while flagging off campaign for the councillorship bye-election scheduled for Saturday in three wards in governments.
The campaign train of PDP led by the deputy governor Chief Crowther Seth on behalf of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri was in Lamurde, Guyuk and Shelleng local government’s areas where there will be bye-elections scheduled to fill the vacant seats of councillors.
The Deputy Governor in company of PDP state executives explained that the bye-elections scheduled for this Saturday was necessitated following the death of the serving councillors of Lamurde, Guyuk and Kiri wards.
Chief Crowther while addressing the mammoth crowd of supporters, solicited support and unity of purpose among PDP members to ensure that the candidates emerge victorious during the bye-elections.
The Deputy Governor who re-iterated that Governor Ahmadu Fintiri is committed to fulfilling his campaign promises, called on people to remain calm as the present administration is doing everything possible to take development to all sections of the state.
While stressing that PDP remains the formidable party, he called for support to its flag bearers ahead of the bye-elections, assuring that transparency, equity, justice and fairness are the watchwords of PDP.
The PDP party’s state chairman Barrister, Abubakar Tahir Shehu had earlier introduced the councillorship candidates to supporters in the three local governments and also presented them with the party’s flag, with a call on them to portray the good image of the PDP as well as work hard towards uniting members to ensure the growth and progress of the party.
Other speakers include the ward chairmen of PDP in Lamurde, Guyuk and Shelleng, the three local government Chairmen among others who separately that the ongoing projects in all various sectors the glaring reality enough to give the party candidate victory in the forth, coming councillorship bye-election.
Those in the campaign train include the speaker of the state house of Assembly among other lawmakers, the Chief of staff to the governor and his deputy, Party stalwarts, Local government Chairmen, special Advisers and other top government officials.
Earlier in Guyuk, the deputy Governor accompanied by other officials had paid homage on Kwandi Nunguriya, Dishon Dansanda, the second.
