Imbibe Culture Of Waste Management-Controller

The Federal Ministry of environment has enjoined people to imbibe culture of waste management for the wellbeing of the society.

The controller, Federal ministry of environment Yola, Hajiya Safiya Abubakar made the call in an interview with ABC reporter in her office.

Hajiya Safiya attributed health issues in the community and flooding during raining season to improper dumping of refuse.

On the ongoing tree planting campaign in the state, Hajiya Safiya revealed that the state government has keyed into the programme as massive tree planting is ongoing in Guyuk, Shelleng, Numan, Demsa and Lamurde local government areas.

She called on stakeholders in the environmental sector in the state to imbibe the spirit of tree planting in the state.
