NBA Advocates For Setting Up Panel Of Enquiry Into Looted Properties

The Nigeria Bar Association, NBA Adamawa state Chapter has advocated for constituting of a panel of enquiry to ascertain the level of destruction by looters as well as identify and prosecute perpetrators of the act.

A statement signed by the Chairman of the Association, Yola Branch Barrister Jibril Jimeta, commends Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for swiftly imposing twenty four hours curfew to curtail further looting in the state.

It called on Adamawa citizens to be law abiding and abide by the curfew order, stressing that it is only when people obey laws that their fundamental human rights can be guaranteed.

The Association while condemning the acts of hooliganism exhibited by some youths in breaking government and private warehouses as well as offices, said contravenes the collective resolve of ensuring peace in the state.
