Nyako revalidates party membership

Former Governor Murtala Hammanyero Nyako has urged the All Progressives Congress APC members in the Adamawa State House of Assembly to discharge their legislative duties in accordance with the laws of the land.

Vice Admiral Nyako gave the charge in his Dougirei Residence in Yola when he received APC members in the State Assembly led by the minority leader of the House, Alhaji Muhammad Mutawalli who paid him a courtesy visit.

He said no meaningful development can be achieved where the laws of the land are not adhered to in the conduct of public affairs.

Vice Admiral Murtala Nyako said he visited the State purposely to revalidate his membership of All Progressives Congress, APC at Hammanyero one unit, Mbilla ward in Mayo Belwa local government area.

While calling on the lawmakers to ensure that their supporters revalidate their membership, he described the registration and revalidation exercise for APC Membership across the country as peaceful and overwhelming.

Vice Admiral Nyako who was visibly elated with the warm reception accorded him in the State, appealed to Adamawa people to register with the APC for more developmental projects at all levels.

He called for unity and understanding among members for the progress of the party.

The former Governor who enumerated some of the challenges bedeviling the country to include, Covid-nineteen, insecurity and poverty, reiterated commitment of APC to providing job opportunities to teaming Youths and Women.

Speaking earlier, the Minority Leader, Adamawa State House of Assembly and member representing Girei Constituency, Alhaji Muhammad Mutawalli said they were at Admiral Nyako’s residence on a courtesy visit and to welcome him to the State as one of the party leaders.

Also Speaking to newsmen during Admiral Nyako’s visit, the Supervisor for registration and revalidation of APC Membership in Mayo Belwa, Alhaji Shehu Audu described the former Governor as a leader and one of the founders’ of APC, adding that having people like Admiral Nyako in their midst is a blessing and indication of APC’s acceptability.

He said over fifteen thousand people had so far registered with the party in Mayo Belwa.
