Gov Fintiri sign executive order to recover looted properties

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has signed an Executive Order authorizing a House-to-House search for items looted in Government owned and private storage facilities.

To be cited as order No. 2 of 2020 on the Recovery of Public Property looted in Adamawa State by Hoodlums and Thugs, the order comes into effect at three o’clock in the afternoon Wednesday twenty eight October twenty-twenty.

In a statement signed by chief Press Secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosikou.

The Governor has taken note of the compliance with his earlier directive for looters to return all they looted and vandalized in storage facilities, public and private offices and has graciously extended the period of the House-to-House search by another Twelve hours.

The House-to-House search will now commence at seven o’clock in the morning on Thursday twenty nine October twenty-twenty.

The Government calls on the general public especially those with information regarding the items carted away to come forward and volunteer information that could help Security Agencies recover all the looted property.

It said any person or group of persons with information should call the following Numbers: zero-eight-zero-eight-nine-six-seven-one-three-one-three, zero-eight-zero-six-seven-five-nine-two-seven-one-four.

The statement added that for the avoidance of doubt, the indefinite curfew already imposed on the state is still in force.

It said all unauthorized movement by Vehicles, Pedestrians and Tricycles are banned.
