Fire Destroys 350 Beds At Yola Specialist Hospital

An inferno on Sunday destroyed three hundred and fifty beds including mattresses were burnt down by fire at the Yola Specialist Hospital.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

Dr. Dauda Wadinga, Medical Director of the hospital, while conducting Deputy Governor Crowther Seth who paid an inspection visit to the scene of the fire, explained that it emanated from the central store of the hospital.

Speaking during the visit, the Deputy Governor Crowther Seth said his visit is to assess the level of damage done by the inferno.

Seth who sympathised with the hospital management on the sad development, pledged to intimate Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on the incident.

The Deputy Governor commended the Adamawa state Fire Service and Federal Fire Service for their prompt response to curtail the spread of the fire.
