The Adamawa state police command has paraded sixty one suspects including kidnapers, armed robbers, cultists, and others found in possession of human part.

The Commissioner of police Mr Olubenga Adeyanju who paraded the suspects at the police headquarters Yola at the police headquarters Yola on Monday.

He explained that the the fifty eight suspects were separately arrested in Fufore, Maiha, Ganye, Gombi, Mubi North and Yola North local Government areas pointing out that one human eye, a tricycle, five AK forty seven rifles, two barrel guns, one G three guns, one pistols three-two-eight rounds of lives ammunition’s as well as forty seven rounds of other ammunition were recovered from them.

Mr Adeyanju added that from first July to date, the relentless efforts and sacrifices made by gallant officers and men of the command with support from Government professional hunters in Gombi and people of Adamawa state ensured these achievements.

The commissioner of police further said his men and hunters have succeeded in dislodging the criminals from their hideouts adding that among the suspect was Iliyasu Shayibu who was contracted by one Umar to supply him with a human eye for five hundred thousand naira stressing that the linked suspect is a resident of Kwami in Gombe state.

Mr Adeyanju further said following the recent Guyuk Lafiya communal clashes, the command while enforcing the law, arrested fourteen suspects who were being investigated.

The commissioner of police during the occasion decorated nine officers with their new ranks of superintendent of police to superintendent of police with a call in them to justify the confidence repose on them and impact positively on the service delivery of the Nigeria police.
