Commissioner Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development calls on Youth to engage themselves in entrepreneurial skill

The commissioner Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development, Mr James Iliya has called on Youth to engage themselves in entrepreneurial skill to enable them become self reliance.

The commissioner made the appeal at the commissioning of Wetland Human Development Centre and graduation of trainers on various skills held at wetlands Human Development Centre, Yola.

Represented by Alhaji Uba Abdu, the commissioner said one of the cardinal objective of the Fintiri led administration is to provide skills to youth and women.

He said government will continued to part wetlands Human Development Centre, Yola to impart entrepreneurial skills to youths to enable them be independent of government.

In his remark, chairman Yola South, local government, Alhaji Salihu Malkoi represented by his vice Mr Ilisha Kefas commended the founder of the centre and pledged his support at all times.

Also speaking, the District Head of Yola, Alhaji Mustapha appealed to the graduating students to make good use of the skills acquired and step down to others.

He called on well meaning Nigerians to assist the centre to enlarge its scope of activities.

On her part, the founder of Wetland Development Centre Yola Hajiya Maisaratu Bello said government alone cannot cater for the need of youth, adding that no meaningful development can be achieve if youth have no sound knowledge and skills.

She encouraged youth and women to learn entrepreneurial of their choice for them to be good ambassadors of the society.

In his welcome address, the coordinator of wetland Human Development Centre Yola, Comrade Garba said the centre was established on eleven August twenty-twenty with the aim of providing training to especially to unemployment youth in the society.

He said the centre trained seventy youths on various skills for three months.

In his speech the Professor Abba Tahir of American University of Nigeria Yola lauded the effort of the founder of the centre and called on government to change the education system in the country by introducing more entrepreneurial courses to enable graduating students to be self-reliant.

There were goodwill messages from the wife of Lamido Adamawa, Hajiya Aisha Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha the Coordinator Poverty Alleviation Aisha Bawa Bello and chairman of Adamawa chamber of Commerce industries, mines and Agriculture among other.

Speaking to newsmen, one of the graduands of the training Aisha Adamu and Salahudden Ibrahim promise to make good use of the knowledge acquire.

The new centre provides training on tailoring computer, electric and electronics, cosmetic and farming.
