chairman Adamawa State Planning Commission expresses satisfaction with Progress on projects executed by state government

The Executive chairman Adamawa State Planning Commission Doctor Mary Paninga has expressed satisfaction with the Progress on some ongoing projects being executed by the state government.

She made the observation when she and other members of the commission visited Guyuk, Hong, Yola North, Yola South, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Jada, Gombi, Ganye and Numan local governments area to assess the level of work on project that cover urban and rural roads, health facilities and housing estates.

Doctor Paninga explained that part of the mandate of the commission is to monitor and coordinates execution of capital projects of the state government in line with the policy agenda of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

The Executive chairman noted that the commission is involved in the task of project monitoring under the department of “Service Delivery Improvement” from the commencement of work on projects up to the time of their completion.

Doctor Paninga explained that provision of facilities is done by government with due consideration to the need of the people at the grassroots

She added that the commission has the responsibility to advise the state government concerning its developmental activities.

Also commenting, the special Adviser to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on projects monitoring Mr Augustine James expressed delight with the pace and quality of work on projects being executed by various contractors and the cordial relationship existing between various communities and  contractors handling government projects.

He said it was the desire of present administration to complete initiated and some abandoned projects for the benefit of the people, and poited out that all projects are to be completed within set time frame, though COVID-nineteen pandemic has affected various sectors including the execution of projects.

Mr James called on the people of the state to continue supporting the Umaru Fintiri led administration to enable it succeed executing of people oriented projects.
