2024 Hajj: NAHCON Allocates 2,488 Seats To Adamawa

The Executive Secretary of Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission Yola Mallam Abubakar Salihu has disclosed that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON has allocated two thousand four hundred and eighty-eight seats to Adamawa State for the 2024 Hajj exercise.

The Executive Secretary disclosed this Tuesday at a news conference at the commission’s Headquarters in Yola.

Mallam Salihu explained that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has also approved the commission to kick start 2024 Hajj activities.

He urged intending Pilgrims to deposit at least four point five million naira for their Hajj fare pending the official announcement of the actual fares.

The Executive Secretary appealed to the intending Pilgrims to hasten the payment on or before the end of 2023 as next year’s Hajj exercise differs from the previous ones, noting Saudi authorities will close Visa issuance around March- April 2024.

Mallam Salihu described the 2023 Hajj exercise as hundred percent success which attracted two National Awards of recognition from Independent Hajj Reporters and Observers to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as the best performing Governor in terms of Hajj operation and the state Commission for enlightening Pilgrims during the exercise.

The Executive Secretary also said Governor Fintiri has given approval to refund Excess payment for 2023  Adamawa Pilgrims.

He then appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his support to the commission and appealed to the staff of the commission to re-double their efforts for optimum performance.
