A Grassroot politician and Former senatorial candidate for Adamawa Central under the platform of People’s Democratic Party PDP, Alhaji Chubado Murtala Modibbo has officially commissioned two motorise boreholes and a water pump borehole in Gongoshi Digali, Meltara and Dunga communities in Yola South local government area.
The Former senatorial candidate who was accompanied during the commissioning of the projects by friends and PDP executives for Namtari and Yolde Kohi wards said the projects were part of the request by the communities during his campaign in twenty nineteen election.
Alhaji Murtala said even though he loss the election but expressed readiness to continue to fulfilling promises made during the campaign.
The Grassroot politician who described water as life urged the beneficiaries to take ownership of the projects and ensure it proper maintenance at all times.
According to him, the boreholes were drilled not for political reason but assist the Communities with portable drinking so as to address health challenges associated with water born diseases.
He called on Communities of Gongoshi Digali and Meltara to formed a vigilante groups to check security threats for peace in the areas.
In a remark, a former house of Assembly candidate Yola South Constituency Alhaji Baba Mustafa described Chubado Murtala as a true Politician with interest of people at heart.
Speaking separately, the councilor representing Namtari ward, Ahmadu Barkindo, chairman People’s Democratic Party PDP Yolde Kohi wards, Biri Adamu and District pastor Digali Peter Digali appreciated Chubado Murtala Modibbo for the gesture and promised him their total support to enable him realise his political ambition.
They pledged to utilize the facilities effectively and it maintenance at all times.
