Wife of the Governor Hajiya Lami fintiri Monday flaged off the second phase of a skill acquisition training to five hundred women and youths in Northern Zone of the state under her pet project Fresh Air Pro-life Empowerment.

Speaking during the event held at Sali Isa Bello Hall in Mubi, Hajiya Lami Fintiri explained that the training draws  participants from Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha, Michika and Madagali local governments areas.

Represented by the commissioner of Education and Human Capital Development, Mrs. Wilbina Jakson, Hajiya Lami pointed out that the program was initiated to equip women and youths in the state with various skills of their choice so as to empower them.

While pleading with husbands to support their wives to partake in the program, the wife of the Governor challenged youths not to wait for government jobs but start their own businesses.

Hajiya Lami used the forum to commend “A” Squad Multi service and ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for their support.

Earlier in his address, the chairman Mubi south local government who is the chairman of Association, All Local Government of Nigeria ALGON, Alhaji Jingi Rufai described Hajiya Lami Fintiri’s initiative as commendable and assured that it will be extended to wards level.

On his part, the commissioner Ministry of Local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mohammed Umaru appreciated Governor Fintiri and his wife for fulfilling part of the campaign promises made to people at the grass root, noting that such activity will boost socio economic well-being of the people.

Commenting, the commissioner Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Lami Ahmad advised women participants of the training to be punctual and not to sell the starter parks that will be given to them at the end of the training.

In a remark, one of the Directors of “A” squad multi services the company handling the training programme, Mr. Kenneth appreciated Hajiya Lami for her support, adding that at the end of the training, each participant will be provided with a starter park and five thousand naira transport allowance.
