NGO Solicits Partnership With ABC Yola

A non-governmental organization unique child education and women Empowerment Adamawa state chapter has appealed to the Management of ABC Yola to assist in publicizing activities of the organisation.

The coordinator of the association Comrade Saad Abubakar made the appeal when he led other members of the association on a courtesy visit to the General Manager of the corporation Mr Alleni Ethan Dah in his office Tuesday.

Comrade Abubakar explained that the organisation established in twenty sixteen in north-west Nigeria and with the aim of assisting widows, orphans, school children and the mentally retarded among others.

He added that the organisation was established last month in Adamawa and had so far undertook advocacy visit in Wuro-kawu in Jada local government and where it provided sanitary pad and detergents to some women.

According to him, members of the organisation contribute money among themselves, to assist it targeted group.

On her remark, the Secretary of the organisation Comrade Laila Muhammad said they are assisted sixty children in Kano with Uniforms, Books and other learning materials.

Responding, the General Manager Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation ABC Yola Mr Alleni Ethan Dahthanked them for the visit and pledged the support of the corporation to the organisation.

He said women are the bedrock of any developed country while children are leaders of tomorrow hence the need to assist them at all times.

Mr Dah revealed that ABC Yola is established to disseminate government policies and programmes as well as provide feedback to government.
