Mobile Application Smart RR launches in Adamawa

Adamawa state Ministry of Women Affairs in collaboration with a nongovernmental organization Big Family three sixty Foundation and other developmental partners has launched mobile Application known as Smart RR which help survivors report cases of rape and other gender Based Violence case.
Speaking during the ceremony held at Murtala Nyako Center State Secretariat, the Founder Big Family Foundation Mr. Dirug Samuel said the essence of the innovation is to help survivors report Gender Based Violence cases and to be connected with service providers within their immediate communities with confidentially.
The Founder noted that the application automatically update referral cases and can within an hour help survivors accessed security agent, women collation, and safe spaces among others.
He added that the application will not expose the survivors.
In a remark the state commissioner ministry of Women Affairs and social Development Mrs. Lami Ahmad described the application as a channel to Lodge and file complaint as well as interface between survivors and service providers from the multiple sectors.
She disclosed that so far one hundred and fifty cases have been reported using the application and flow ups have also been made.
Mrs. Lami Ahmad, urged stakeholders and partners to put in their best in ensuring the innovation has reduced Gender based Violence.
The commissioner commended Big family three sixty Foundation for the laudable innovation hoping that they will continue to give the necessary attention and technical support to make the project effective and sustainable.
