Ministry Of Entrepreneurship Development To Train Over 1000 On Economic Empowerment

The Adamawa State Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development has commenced a training of one hundred and five persons to enable them to contribute to the economic development of the state.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who flagged off two of weeks training at the Skills Acquisition Center in Yola, said the effort is part of the policy point of his administration.

Represented by Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta, the governor said the training is part of the point agenda of his administration and the Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development plays a crucial role in human capital development.

According to him, the training is a gateway to acquire practical economic empowerment which has a broader impact on families considering the current economic realities which provides a stepping stone for participants.

In a remark, Commissioner of Entrepreneurship Development, Iliya James, said the participants would receive starter packs after training as it would empower them to become self-reliant and add value to themselves.

Also speaking Deputy Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Hajiya Amina Bashir Tukur said the ministry was established at the inception of Finitiri-led administration and aimed to touch the lives of many citizens of the state.
She said the Ministry is connecting the participants to be self-reliant, especially in the areas of petroleum jelly; and air freshener among others pointing out that participants were selected based on merit.

In a remark, Special Assistant to the Governor on Entrepreneurship Development, Salihu Zumo, congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to also train others.
In a Vote of thanks, the Head of Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency, PAWECA Hajiya Aishatu Bello Bawa described participants as future entrepreneurs and urged them to be attentive during the training.
