Lecturer Decries Attitude Of Some Teachers Towards Students, Pupils

The Head of Department, Islamic Education Federal College of Education FCE Yola, Dr. Bashir Imam Aliyu has decried the attitude of some teachers towards their students and pupils.
Dr. Bashir who observed a guest speaker at the speech and prize-giving day of Bin Fodio Academy, Yolde Pate, Yola South local government area, advised parents to assess the school before enrolling their wards there.
He further called on them to inculcate moral standards in their wards, noting that parents are the first teachers.
In his remark, the Special guest of honor who is the Executive Chairman of Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board, Yola Doctor Salihi Ateequ Ibrahim pledged that the board will construct a block of the classroom in the school alongside supply of furniture as soon as the state government pays its counterpart fund, to access grants.
In his speech, the Ameer Centre for Islamic Thought, CIT Yola, Doctor Usman Ahmad Dadah while congratulating the graduands, explained that the center will continue to support the Academy in all ramifications.
Also speaking, the chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Abubakar Ubandoma of Modibbo Adama University Yola, charged parents to ensure prompt payment of their children’s school fees.
Earlier, the Chairman School Based Management Committee, of the Academy Professor Bello Yusuf Idi of Modibbo Adama University Yola said the academy which is not-for-profit making started as an Islamiya school two thousand and six.
Professor Idi said the school has a total enrolment of one hundred and nine pupils; twenty of them are graduating from nursery to primary one.
He stated that the school management committee has already developed a work plan for the expansion of the school, and pledged to continue to render educational services to the community.
