Commissioner expresses worry over unkept environment of Adamawa United football club

The State Commissioner of Youths and Sports, Mr Aloysius Babadoke has expressed disappointment over the unkempt environment at the Adamawa United Football Club house in Yola.

Mr Babadoke expressed his displeasure when he undertook an unscheduled visit to the club house in Jimeta.

The Commissioner said the area has become an eyesore and is unfit for human habitation adding that despite government huge investment on the club, there is no commensurate value for the spending.

Mr Babadoke who was accompanied by members of the interim management committee of Adamawa United, said government will not fold its hands and watch the fortunes of the premier football club drop to such level hence the suspension of the former management and subsequent on-going forensic auditing of the club finance.

The Commissioner said with the massive arrangements being put in place by the ministry, supporters of the Adamawa United and Queens football clubs will soon have cause to smile as the interim management team working assiduously to restore the lost glory of the two clubs.

He stated the camps of the clubs will soon be opened for the twenty-twenty one and twenty-twenty two football season.

Mr Babadoke used the visit to announce plans by the present administration to establish the Adamawa state sports endowment fund as approval has been granted for constituting committee to that effect.
