ACOMIN takes advocacy on Malaria Prevention to Girei LGA

The executive Secretary Primary Health care Authority Girie local government Alhaji Aliyu Idris magaji has appealed to state government to employ more health personnel for primary health care centers in local governments.
The executive secretary made this appeal when a representatives of non-governmental organization global health and social awareness foundation in collaboration with civil society for Malaria control, immunization and nutrition (ACOMIN) paid him an advocacy visit in his office in Girei.
He said there is shortage of trained health workers in most public health clinics coupled with population growth.
Alhaji Magaji appreciated the non-governmental organizations for their efforts in controlling malaria in communities and assistance to pregnant women.
Members of the organization also visited Damare clinic where the leader of the delegation Mrs Chiwar Hassan said the aims of the visit is to highlight the dangers of malaria and encourage people to adopt preventive measures as well as Patronise public clinics for treatment of the disease.
On her part the facility manager of damare clinic Aishatu Musa appreciated the ACOMIN for the visit and assistance to public Health care centers in the area.
