Beneficiaries Of Zakkat Charges To Use The Items Judiciously

The state commissioner of Land and Survey Alhaji Ibrahim Mijinyawa Yahyaji has charged beneficiaries of Zakat to make good use of the money or property.

He gave the charge at the flagging off of Zakat distribution by Jaiz Bank Foundation to Nomadic Pastoralists and others in Adamawa held at Ahmadu Ribadu College Yola Sunday.

Alhaji Mijinyawa Yahyaji who is the chairman of the occasion said Zakat is one of the pillars of Islam and hence the need for wealthy individuals to give out zakat to those prescribed by Holy Qur`an.

The commissioner attributed the insecurity prevailing in the country to lack of fear of Allah.

On his part the commissioner of Rural Infrastructure and Community Development, Alhaji Abdullahi Prambe lauded the effort of Jaiz Bank foundation in supporting poor communities and called on Pastoralists to acquire formal education.

In his remark, the chairman Board of Trustees, Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation, Malam Adamu Bello represented by Board member Doctor Bashir Imam Aliyu said the Sub-project was meat to support nomadic youth, teachers, extension education agents, and women among others in the state.

He added that the foundation provides support to poor and vulnerable adding that over five million naira was expended on execution of various projects in selected communities this year.

The chairman Board of Trustees while congratulating the beneficiaries urged them to make good use of the items given to them.

Malam Bello called on wealthy individual to support Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation to enable it achieves objectives.

Also speaking the Chief Executive Officer Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation Doctor Imam Abdullahi Shuaib said Zakat was introduced in Islam with the aims to reducing poverty among the Muslim Ummah.

He explained that in Northern Nigeria many people are dying as a result of poverty hunger hence the need for the Muslim ummah to fight the menace.

Earlier in his welcome address the chairman Local committee on Rural Out reach Initiative Alhaji Abubakar Sahabo Magaji said the program targeting beneficiaries from Adamawa and Taraba states.

Speaking, some the beneficiaries of the intervention Haruna Adamu Dankifi, Yahya Ardo and Musa Muhammed expressed appreciation to Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation for its support.

Items distributed include six motorcycles, thirteen generators, Uniform Exercise Book, Cash Grant among others.
