Grassroot Politician empowers Communities with fishing facilities

A Grassroot Politician and former senatorial candidate for Adamawa Central under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Alhaji Chubado Murtala Modibbo has empowered Goron, Tambo and Damare Communities in Girei Local Government Area with Cash, Canoes and Fishing Nets to boost their business activities in the communities.

Presenting the facilities to the Benefiting communities in Gereng, the PDP stalwart said the essence of the donation was to give the fishermen a sense of belonging.

According him, empowering people will help in curtailing criminal activities in the society as well as making people self reliant.

He said one of the Cardinal objectives of the PDP administration is fighting poverty and hunger in assisting those living on flood prone areas especially fishing communities thereby enhancing their business activities.

Alhaji Chubado Murtala who called on the Benefiting communities to make the best use of the facilities appealed to other wealth to do Nigerians to empower people to reduce restiveness in the society.

In their separate remarks, some PDP chieftains, Chief Caleb Tabwasa and Sallau Damare applauded Chubado Murtala for the donation describing it as first of its kind in the area.

They called on people of the area to support the grassroots politician and Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for more dividends of democracy.

In their goodwill messages, the Kpana Goron represented by Mr. Arastus Shemiro and PDP chairman Goron Ward, Mr Felix Dimas thanked Chubado Murtala for the assistance and assured him of their unflinching support at all times.

Earlier, Alhaji Chubado Murtala and his entourage paid a courtesy call on Kpana Goron, Mr Asurel Lawan Shemiro.
