Governor Fintiri mourns Islamic Cleric Modibbo Abdullahi Gamu

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has joined others in mourning the Islamic Cleric, Modibbo Abdullahi Gamu who died in Yola on Monday this week.

The Governor who was at the family residence of the decrease in Yola town for a condolence visit described the death of the scholar as a great loss to the state.

He urged the family members to bear the irreparable loss, adding that death is inevitable to every mortal and prayed to God to grant the soul of the deceased Aljannatul Firdausi.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri was during the visit received by the eldest son of the deceased, Sheikh Muhammad Sani Gamu.

Modibbo Abdullahi Gamu died at the age of seventy six on Monday and left behind twenty seven children and eighty five grand children.

Governor Umaru Fintiri was earlier at the family residence of Alhaji Hamman Diram where he condoled with the members over the passing of Aisha Dadale Hamman Diram.

The Governor who was received by one of the sons of the deceased, Professor Umaru Hamman Diram, prayed to God to grant Hajja Dadale eternal rest and Aljannatul Firdausi.

Aisha Dadale Hamman Diram died on Sunday in Yola after a brief illness at the age of eighty two and left behind five children and forty grand children.

Meanwhile, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has described the passage of Barrister John Yaya as a great loss not only to Adamawa but Nigeria in general.

The Governor was at the residence of the decreased in Dougirei, Jimeta where he consoled with the bereaved family.

Barrister John Yaya was a one time Director General and Permanent Secretary, Government House, Yola.

He died on Saturday last week after a brief illness at the age of sixty nine in Abuja and left behind a wife, daughter and a grandchild.

The Governor during the separate visits was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bashir Ahmad and Head of Civil Service, Doctor Edgar Amos Sunday among others.
