Gov. Fintiri describes allegations that he faulted Covid-19 protocol as false

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has described the allegation by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN that he flouted COVID-nineteen protocols at the Port-Harcourt International Airport on Tuesday as false.

The Governor made this reaction through a statement by the Director General, Media and Communications, Government House, Yola Mr. Solomon Kumangar, Thursday.

The statement said Airport Authority lied because the governor had his temperature and those of his aides checked adding that he only objected to filling his form, insisting that his protocol officer should do that for him as the airport demanded.

Governor Umaru Fintiri stressed that the airport authority was economical with the truth as the only point of difference with him was filling a form, which he believed should be done by his aide.

It could be recalled that the Management of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria  had reported via its twitter handle that Governor Umaru Fintiri, who arrived Port Harcourt international Airport aboard an aircraft, five N-IZY, at around five o`clock in the evening on fourteenth July this week, refused to adhere to COVID-Nineteen protocols at the Airport.
