Atiku Calls On Adamawa People To Reelect Fintiri

The presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party PDP, in the twenty twenty-three general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has called on the people of Adamawa State to re-elect Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for a second term in office.

The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, in the twenty twenty three general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has called on people of Adamawa State to re-elect Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for a second term in office.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar made the call during a political rally and receiving of thousands of defectors from opposition parties organized for his home coming held at Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola Monday.

He stressed that Governor Umaru Fintiri has performed excellently within the three years in office and urged the people to vote for him again to enable him consolidate on the achievements so far recorded by his administration.

The PDP presidential candidate thanked the people of Adamawa for supporting his political career since he ventured into politics, more than three decades ago and pledged that he will never disappoint them.

He urged the leadership of the PDP in the state to accord the defectors all the privileges of the party and involved them in the scheme of party activities henceforth across the state.

In his remarks, Governor Umaru Fintiri congratulated the defectors into the PDP and assured the Presidential candidate, Alhaji Abubakar that Adamawa will deliver for candidates on the platform of the party.

He maintained that his administration has delivered on its campaign promises in the areas of maintaining unity and security, providing free education, infrastructure, and housing among others to attract investors into the state.

The national chairman of PDP, Doctor Iyorchia Ayu who received thousands of defectors alongside their supporters, and handed them over to Governor Fintiri for integration into the party, and assured them of equal treatment.

Earlier in his welcome address, the state chairman of PDP, Barrister Tahir Shehu who described Atiku Abubakar as a unifier, prayed to God to give him the wisdom in piloting the affairs of the country if elected.

Responding on behalf of the defectors, Alhaji Shuaibu Babas the member Fufore-Gurin constituency in the state assembly said with their joining of the PDP, the party is sure of victory in next year`s general elections.

The Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar accompanied by his running mate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa among others is visiting his home state for the first time since winning the PDP presidential primary elections.

Alhaji Abubakar alongside other members of his entourage accompanied by Governor Umaru Fintiri was earlier in the palace of Lamido Adamawa, Doctor Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa where they paid homage on the royal father.
