Adamawa State House of Assembly Wednesday passed two bills for further action by the executive arm.

The bills passed as amended are a bill for a law to provide for the establishment of Adamawa State Transport Board and that for a law to provide for road traffic administration

The passage of the bills followed their presentation for third reading on the floor of the house by the majority leader and member representing Jada-Mbulo constituency Alhaji Hammantukur Yettisuri during Wednesday’s sitting.

The two bills if assented to will provide for the management, operation of urban, intra- State, inter-State and international transport services as well as make provisions for more effective road traffic and vehicle inspection in Adamawa State.

The Speaker of the house, Alhaji Aminu Iya Abbas who presided over Wednesday`s sitting directed the clerk of the house to prepare clean copies of the bills to executive for the Governor’s assent.

Also during the Wednesday’s sitting, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly constituted a seven-man Ad-hoc committee headed by the deputy Speaker of the house to look into the activities of Adamawa State Planing Commission, the Bureau for Public Procurement and the Fiscal Responsibility Commission from twenty twenty to date.

Alhaji AMinu Iya Abbas while urging the committee comprising the members representing Girei, Demsa, Verre, Shelleng, Guyuk and Michika constituencies to conduct a through their exercise directed them to submit report within two weeks.
