Chairman Nigeria Association of Blind calls for absorptions of his Members in to state civil service

The Chairman Nigeria Association of the Blind Adamawa state chapter, Comrade Bitrus Richard has made a case for government to absorb its members into the state civil service as was done for people without disability.

He made the position of the Association in an exclusive interview with ABC Yola Reporter at the Broadcasting House, explained that there are more than seventy Blinds who  graduated from different institutions of higher learning and about two hundred secondary School leavers without job.

Comrade Richard noted that offering employment to the blinds will reduce the rate of street beggars among the persons with visual impairment and other forms of disability, maintained that street bagging is a threat to insecurity of the state.

According to him, disability should not be hindrance to achieving ambitions by individuals, saying many of his members who are creative which requires empowerment to display their talents for the benefit of the society.

The chairman call on the members to support Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led Administration with prayers and urged the Governor to fulfill promise made to the Association.
