Lack of Education, Respect and inadequate care of family has been identified as factors responsible of conflicts between Muslims Couple.

This was the views of some Islamic scholars in the state in an interview with ABC Yola reporter.

Speaking to ABC Yola reporter, the Chief Imam of Police Barrack Jummu’at Mosque, Deputy Superintendent of Police DSP Ahmad Sulaiman attributed the problem to lack of knowledge among husband and wves.

He reminded husbands that it is their duty to take good care of their wives and children by providing them with clothing, shelter food among others.

The Imam called on wives to respect their husbands for them to reap Allah’s blessing.

Also the Chief Imam of Mayo Belwa Central Mosque who is also the chairman Muslim Council Mayo Belwa local government area, Modibbo Ahmadu Aminu Liman said the council has been assisting in settling conflicts between couples in the area.

He said the council has set up a committee with the mandate to resolve dispute among couples and called on Muslim Couples to always fear Allah and live in peace.

The clergy who expressed concern on the increasing cases of clash between couples, appealed to husbands to ensure that they have fulfiled their responsibilities to their wives as ordained in scriptures.
