The District Head of Vokna-Pakka in Maiha local government area of Adamawa state, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar has described former Governor of defunct Gongola state late Wilberforce Bafte Juta as a person who sacrificed his life to ensure peace and development not only in his community alone, but Nigeria as a whole.

The Royal father, who spoke to Newsmen, explained that the demise of the second civilian Governor of old Gongola State who hailed from the district has created a vacuum in the political landscape of Adamawa and Nigeria.

He stated late Juta who served the country with dedication as High Commissioner to Zimbabwe has never took for granted the need to promote peace and harmony among the diverse ethnic groups in the country.

Alhaji Abubakar therefore called on the Adamawa and Federal governments to immortalize late Wilberforce Bafte Juta considering his contribution to the unity and development of the country.

The District Head stated that late elder statesman had left an indelible mark worthy of emulation and urged the present crop of politicians to learn from the virtues of late Ambassador Juta who throughout his political struggles played the game without bitterness.

He thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who was represented by his Deputy Chief Crowther Seth, and delegations from Federal and other state governments as well as other dignitaries that attended the funeral in Pakka, and expressed hope that the seed of bond planted by late Ambassador Juta will continue to wax stronger.
