FIFA Project 2023 Commends Adamawa People

A political pressure group ‘FIFA Project 2023’ has commended the people of Adamawa for choosing peaceful conduct during the gubernatorial election of eightieth March, noting that the maturity exhibited for peaceful coexistence is unmeasurable.

The State Coordinator of the project, Martins Madanga Banga made the commendation at a news conference held at the nurses’ House, Yola ahead of the rerun governorship election in the state scheduled for 15^th, April 2023.

He, however, alleged that it is not clear whether the recent deployment of the Head of ICT INEC Adamawa State to INEC Headquarters in Abuja is in good faith or an attempt to perfect their plans of rigging incumbent Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

“Just yesterday we saw an official memo released for the Head of ICT Adamawa State transfer to INEC Headquarters in Abuja. We are watching every move. We refused to believe that there’s a negative motive behind that because ordinarily by now, INEC has enjoyed our certain level of trust and support.”

“As it stands now, is not clear if the electoral body changed the ICT Head in good faith or an attempt to perfect their plans of rigging out incumbent Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.”

“We cannot longer be passive in times like this, having seen the deliberate effort made by Adamawa REC to rig the election for Sen Aisha Binani of APC.”

Banga stated that despite being prepared for the forthcoming supplementary election on the 15^th of April, the group has lost confidence in the REC Adamawa State.

“As it stands now, despite the fact we are preparing for the forthcoming supplementary election on the 15^th April, we want the commission to know that we have lost confidence in the REC, we expect by now to hear that the REC was removed and punished. Having not hear anything, we are convinced that commission have no regards to the cry of our dear state.”

“We have determined against all odds to resist any attempt irrespective of the sources installed or programmed to interfere with the outcome of the forthcoming supplementary election, he/she should prepare to face the full wrath of the law,” Banga said.
