Students of Modibbo Adama University MAU, Yola have been warned against cultism, examination malpractice, indecent dressing and any form of violence and fraud.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ibrahim Umar gave the warning during the matriculation of five thousand, two hundred and ninety-seven undergraduate students for the twenty-twenty-four- twenty-twenty-five academic session held at the University convocation centre.
He said the University has zero tolerance for misconduct, stressing that any student found guilty of violating the rules will face disciplinary action, including possible expulsion.
The Vice Chancellor who charged the students to uphold the academic and ethical standards of the institution and strive for excellence in all their endeavours, assured them of the University’s guide and support to enable them succeed.
Professor Umar called on the matriculated students to concentrate on their studies, explaining that education goes beyond the acquisition of knowledge, as it is about building character, learning responsibility and developing a sense of service to society.
He advised them to stay away from anything that will distract and deviate or derail them from achieving their dreams, but abide by the rules and regulations of the University.
