Tol Huba Confers Traditional Title Of Midala On Gov Fintiri

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been conferred the traditional title of Midala of Huba Chiefdom by His Royal Majesty, Tol Huba, Alheri Bulus Nyako, as a mark of appreciation for the restoration of Huba Chiefdom.
The monarch announced the conferment of the title on Friday shortly after being presented with the staff of office as the first Tol Huba by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the mini stadium in Hong.
Tol Huba explained that the title means a Defence Minister, a warrior, a hero, and the champion of the land.
While presenting a white House, bows and arrows, as well as other gifts to Governor Fintiri on behalf of the coronation committee and the Huba, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Barrister Boss Mustapha, assured the Governor of the unwavering support to his administration.
He said as the new Midala Huba Chiefdom, the Governor should use the items in defending not only the Huba people but the greater people of Adamawa state.
On his part, Senator Iya Abbas, representing Adamawa Central in the National Assembly, noted that the restoration of the Chiefdom is a testament to preserving the culture and tradition of the people.
He commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his unwavering commitment to preserving the culture.
Also speaking, the speaker, Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley has described the day as historic to Huba both at home and in the diaspora and thanked Governor Ahmadu Fintiri and members of the State Assembly for meeting the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
The Speaker urged Huba Elders to continue with the unity and support the new Tol Huba for the development of the chiefdom and called on Tol Huba to rule with justice, equity, and fairness to all.
Also, the Chairman of the Hong local government council, Usman Inuwa Wa’aganda, thanked Governor Fintiri, the legislature, and the judiciary for making the dream a reality and explained that the restoration of the Chiefdom apart from preserving culture will promote harmony in Huba land.
Earlier, the Chairman Coronation Committee, Major-General Zakaria Mathias Yaduma (Rtd) appreciated Governor Fintiri for following due process in the implementation of the law establishing the chiefdom, describing the Governor as a courageous leader who governed with equity and justice.
