SWOGE Leads Two-Day Sensitization Campaign on Gender-Based Violence in Numan

A women led organization Society for women and girl child Empowerment SWOGE had conducted a two days sensitisation campaign on Gender Based violence in some communities of Numan local government area.
The event started with Advocacy to the chairman Numan local government area Honorable Innocent Koto where the executive director of the organization Mrs Laureta Charles intimated the chairman their mission to carry out the sensitisation activities in his local government area.
Responding Honorable Innocent Koto expressed appreciation to the organization for embarking on the campaign against Sexual and Gender Based Violence which is occuring in the society and promised to support their projects .
Events conducted during the two day campaign include town hall meeting and road show rally with stakeholders comprising traditional and religious leaders as well as Community members, youth groups and women leaders.
The stakeholders contributed during the event acknowledged the occurance of Gender Based violence and some, narrated their testimonies.
Music Band added courlor to the sensitisation campaign.
