People of Gombi Chiefdom have vowed to support Kumu one Gombi for his reign to achieve greatness.
They made the assertion on Saturday as history was made with the presentation of third Class Staff of office to Aggrey Bechour Ali as Kumu one Gombi by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at Gombi one Primary school.
The Chairman Local Organising Committee, who is the Commissioner for Agriculture. Professor David Finchiwa Jatau said the people of the Chiefdom will work together by being loyal to the new Kumu one Gombi.
He said the celebration marks a milestone in the history of Gombi local government area.
Professor Finchiwa, noted that the creation of the Chiefdom will promote peace, unity, justice and cultural heritage.
On his part, Chief Emmanuel Bello, former member National Assembly called on unity amongst the diverse ethnic groups in the Chiefdom.
He stated that people of the area have been yearning for over a decade for the Chiefdom and thanked Governor Fintiri for honouring their demand.
Also, the chairman Gombi Gombi Local Government Council, Mark Ishaya said creation of the Chiefdom will strengthen governance at the grassroots.
Mr Ishaya, while urging the new Kumu one Gombi to led with justice and fairness, pledged to support the new Chiefdom.
In his goodwill message, the National President Lunguda Nation, Ibrahim Welyeh urged all Chiefs and Emirs in the state to rule with inclusiveness and justice.
Also, the Lamido Adamawa. Doctor Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, represented by Galadima Adamawa, Alhaji Murtala Aminu congratulated the new monarch and called on him to rule his people with fear and justice.
