Creation Of Maiha Emirate Excite Citizens

People of Maiha Emirate in Maiha local government area have expressed delight with creation of the Emirate, and vows to ensure its growth.
The citizens spoke separately on Thursday during the coronation and presentation of staff of office to Alhaji Ahmadu Saibaru as the first Emir of Maiha Emirate Council.
They assured government of their unflinching support to the Emir and government of Adamawa State.

The chairman Maiha local government council, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha Abdullahi assured the support of the council to the new Emir for the maintenance of peaceful coexistence.
On his part, Mr Benson Jelani, former Head of Service who spoke on behalf of Elders in the area, while congratulating Governor Fintiri for the gesture, called on the new Emir to ensure unity in the Emirate.
Also, Aliyu Abdulmumini and Hadiza Nasuru stated the event marks a turning point in the history of the area.

The historical event was held at Jalingo-Maiha Primary School, Maiha that drew some high ranking Traditional Rulers and business tycoons from neighbouring Cameroun Republic, sons and daughters of Maiha local government at home and in diaspora.
