Adamawa state Police command has recorded seven hundred and fifteen cases for different offences this year.  The State Commissioner of Police, CP Morris Dankombo who disclosed this while briefing Journalists at the Command Officers Mess Yola, said the cases include kidnapping, armed robbery, Shilla Boys, rape, defilement, culpable homicide and farmer/herders clashes.

Adamawa State Police Records Over 700 Cases In A Year

Adamawa state Police command has recorded seven hundred and fifteen cases for different offences this year.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Morris Dankombo who disclosed this while briefing Journalists at the Command Officers Mess Yola, said the cases include kidnapping, armed robbery, Shilla Boys, rape, defilement, culpable homicide and farmer/herders clashes.

He also said within the period two hundred and ninety-two suspects were convicted, three hundred and eighty-seven are awaiting trial while thirty-six under investigation.

The Commissioner of Police solicited for public support and cooperation in providing credible information in fighting crimes and criminality next year.

He warned the public against use of fireworks popular known as knockout, adding that the negative effects of igniting fire especially during harmattan period may cause injuries.

CP Dankombo attributed the reduction in crimes and criminality in the state to support the Command is receiving from Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and people of the state.

He assured the people of the state that adequate security measures have been put in place for a successful and hitch-free Christmas and New Year celebrations.
