Adamawa University ranks 13 interms of academic excellence

Adamawa State University Mubi has been ranked number thirteenth in the country in terms of academic excellence.

Secretary to the state Government who is also the outgoing chairman Governing board of the University Auwal D Tukur who disclosed this in a press briefing after the council valedictory session at the University liaison office in Yola said the rank is against the previous one of number seventy-seven.

He said the outgoing ninth council under his leadership has done a lot in the areas of infrastructural and academic development saying the institution now has one hundred professors to enhance academic activities in the University.

The outgoing Chairman noted that the council had been also able to addressed issues of Promotion, backlog of arrears and ensure prompt payment of allowances among others in the institution.

According to him, various projects are undergoing construction in the University, Courtesy of TEFUND including establishment of new campuses in the state, adding that the council had been able to hold two convocation ceremoniesw have not been for the past years in the University.

He however identified some challenges which include lack of consistent electricity and funding for more projects in the University.

Auwal Tukur lauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his uninterference in activities of the council saying is part of the successes recorded by the Council.

The SSG while acknowledging the cordial working relationship with the staff, Students and management of the campus, solicited for same to the new council if constituted to enable them succeed.
