Islamic Cleric Charges Aid Group On Peace, Unity

An Islamic cleric, Malam Tijjani Adam Nepa has charged members of the Nigerian Aid Group of Jama’atu Nasril Islam JNI to redouble their efforts toward promoting peace and unity among Muslims.

He gave the charge Sunday during the closing of a five days camp organized by Yola South Division of Jama’atu Nasril Islam held at Aliyu Mustapha College Yola.

Malam Adam Nepa who was guest speaker at the event explained that a first aid worker is a voluntary worker and charged members of the group to work for the sake of Allah so that they would be rewarded accordingly in the hereafter.

The cleric advised them to desist from acts that will tarnish the image of the group.

Malam Adam who expressed worry over indecent dressing by some Muslims women called on parents to ensure proper upbringing of their children.

The guest speaker also appealed on leaders at all levels to be fair and transparent while carrying out their duties.

In his remark, the District Head of Yola, Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Mustapha called on wealthy Muslims to assist Muslim organizations to enable the discharge their duties effectively.

The District Head observed that the challenges facing the Muslims Ummah was a result of deviating from the teaching of Prophet Muhammad peace be Upon him.

Alhaji Muhammed reminded Muslims that Almighty Allah will not change the condition of people until they change themselves and turn to Allah.

Speaking the chairman of the occasion who is also chairman of Muslim Council Adamawa, Alhaji Gambo Jika represented by state Secretary of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, Alhaji Yahya Aliyu commended the JNI Yola South Division for organizing the five day camp training and urged them to maintain the posture.

He expressed appreciation to those who contributed to the success of the training and prayed Allah to reward them abundantly.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Divisional chairman of JNI Yola South local government, Alhaji Abdulkadiri Mai advised participants of the training to step-down the knowledge they had acquired to others.

He said during the five days camps training the participants were trained on Conflict Management and Mediation, Fire Prevention and Control, and First Aid service among others.
