Adamawa state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission commences sensitization workshops for intending Pilgrims

Twenty-twenty one Muslim intending Pilgrims from Adamawa to Saudi Arabia have been called upon to regularly attend sensitization workshops in their respective local governments organised by Adamawa state Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Commission Yola to enable them know the dos and don’t of the pilgrimage exercise.

Deputy chief Imam Modibbo Adama Jummu’at Mosque, Ustaz Tijjani Tahir made the call during the opening ceremony of the sensitization workshop in Yola South local government area.

He said Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam which any Muslim who has the means is encouraged to go and performe once in a lifetime.

Ustaz Tahir urged intending Pilgrims to always take good care of their Basic traveling allowance BTA so that it will take them through out the Hajj exercise for them not to be left stranded with difficulties.

In a remark, the coordinator Hajj Serving Scheme Unit, Adamawa state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission Yola, Alhaji Barkindo Abdullahi Yakubu said National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON in collaboration with Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission and Jaiz Bank introduced the scheme to make Hajj affordable to less privilege in the society

He said the Commission in Yola will soon lounch the program urging Muslims to avail themselves to benefit from the scheme.

On his part, the Public relations officer PRO of the Commission, Alhaji Mikail Danjuma Mubi tasked intending Pilgrims to always observe Covid-nineteen protocol for them to be protected against the Covid-19 pandemic.

ABC Yola reporter who was with the team of the enlightenment Committee of the Commission Abubakar Muhammad Adamu reports that though being the first day of resuming, there is low turn out of the intending Pilgrims in Yola South and North with proper compliance to Covid-nineteen guidelines.
